About Me

Although I spent a brief time in the nursing field, it wasn’t meeting my desire to help people completely. I changed my career path to the multifaceted career of personal training and health coaching. Personal training and health coaching empower and motivate people to impact their health and fitness positively. Impacting people in this way is very rewarding.

I have been certified as a personal trainer and health coach through one of the top certifying bodies in the fitness industry, the American Council on Exercise (ACE). I strengthened my physical therapy and rehab skills during my years as a physical therapy aide at Fox Chapel Physical Therapy in Pittsburgh. This experience, combined with my nursing background, has allowed me to be able to offer specialized training for people with health issues, high health risks, injuries, or the need for strengthening and rehab. I incorporate weight management and lifestyle modification into all of my programs.

No matter how well you doing with your healthy lifestyle, the next level will take a new way of thinking.  It will also require actions that you are not used to doing. You lose focus on your health and fitness goals because your life is very busy. You lose focus because you have been thinking the same way and doing the same thing for long periods of time. Through regular coaching sessions, you won't lose sight of a healthy lifestyle that you really want.

You will be held accountable

You probably put other people’s needs before your own and you don’t, can’t or won’t put in the time to work towards your own fitness goals. When you commit to your clearly defined goals with me as your coach, you get an extra layer of accountability because I will hold you to executing your plans on a continual basis.

You will gain perspective

Sometimes when we are working hard toward our fitness goals, it's difficult to figure out if we are pushing ourselves too hard or not hard enough. It's tough to really know if we need to change what we are doing because it simply isn't working or if we just need to keep on doing what we are doing for a longer period of time. Coaching with me and continually examining your current situation will give you the perspective you need to succeed. I'll help you get a level of perspective that you simply can't get all by yourself. You'll move toward your goals more freely and unencumbered by all of the second-guessing and internal chatter that comes from not having the right perspective.

You will execute the game plan that YOU determined

The best attitude and the willingness to work hard won't matter if you don't create an effective plan-of-attack and follow through with that plan. You have to take consistent action. I will help you create a set of effective RESULTS-DRIVEN "daily disciplines" that will jump-start your progress and move you in the right direction.

You will have momentum

Once your mindset begins to change and you have consistently made progress, your thinking starts to become second nature. As you progress, your mindset now becomes a way of life and something that you don’t have to think about. You are now unstoppable and the things that you found difficult in the past are now much easier.

You want to do everything you can to make your journey toward getting healthier and more fit a more enjoyable experience as you are going through the process. The main purpose of coaching, however, is to help you produce the results in your life that you may have never been able to do on your own.
